Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has revealed plans to introduce a weighing and measurement system targeted at ensuring fair trade practices and consumer protection in Ghana.
He said this at Ayeremu, a farming community in the Krachi East Municipality while addressing thousands of constituents in that enclave as part of a two-day tour.
Nketiah emphasised that the system had been designed to ensure consumers received accurate quantities for their purchases and that farmers and sellers were fairly compensated for their goods and services.
He said that these initiatives would not only benefit local farmers to get value for their produce but also enhance consumer confidence and promote fair trading in the markets.
The national chairman urged the constituents to vote for change in the 2024 general elections, promising the party would restore the dignity and prestige of the presidency.
“The change is coming and like many Ghanaians, I am certain that on December 7, 2024, you will vote for change to end the suffering of this country”.
He urged supporters and Ghanaians to vote for John Dramani Mahama and the NDC for change to build the Ghana we want together.
