The incumbent member of Parliament (MP) for the Klottey Klorley constituency Nii Armah Ashiettey has stated that he was confident of winning the primaries of the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) slated for November this year.

According to him sustaining the seat for his party in the next elections was his major concern, the reason he was determined to win the party's primaries comprehensively and continue to win the general elections one touch.

He said "I have worked diligently and selflessly to keep the party afloat in the constituency therefore ,I am in the race proper and I will shock Dr. Rawlings come the D. Day."

In an interview with Mega Media in Accra recently, the former labour relations minister said with his hard work, affability and the unwavering loyalty he had exhibited over the years in both national and local levels of the party made him the obvious choice for the people of the constituency.

"My focus is not on any individual or group of persons, I am thinking about making life better for the people down below, improve the sanitation situation as well as tackle the deficit in education and employment and nothing else."

He said he had served the constituents well and had good relationship with with the rank and file of constituency.

When asked if the daughter of the former president and founder of the NDC Dr. Zenator Agyemang Rawlings was a threat to his ambition of retaining the seat , he said "I will shock Dr Rawlings, take it from me. I am not acres at all ,we would play a fair game and at the end of the race she would call me to congratulate me.

Four people have filed to contest the parliamentary primaries of the NDC in November ,2015 including Dr Zenator Rawlings.

The Klortey Klorley MP said he was working assiduously to win the 2016 parliamentary elections big, as well as increase the presidential votes for President John Dramani Mahama.
