A former Deputy Communications Minister, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, says Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is engaging in pedestrian propaganda and not being on top of issues.
Speaking with the host of 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise, Winston Amoah, Mr Kwakye Ofosu stated: “The Vice President is engaging in pedestrian propaganda” and that should not be encouraged by the media, he urged.
The deputy minister in the Mahama-led administration expressed disappointment in Dr Bawumia, saying: “The Vice President offers comic responses to the complaints [on the Cedi depreciation] that have been made”.
Meanwhile, he has also chided the ruling government for using the implementation of the Free SHS policy as a response to any questions posed about the running of the country.
“The mantra of using free SHS to answer questions is an insult to the ordinary Ghanaians.
‘Otherwise, how do you cite Free SHS as an answer to the fall of the Cedi and escalating fuel prices?”
He lashed out at the government for reneging on some promises and how it has failed Ghanaians.
“The Vice President and government have failed to fulfill the $1 million per constituency and the ‘One District, One Factory’ which they have failed to build.”
He had a word of advice for the Vice President.
“Rather than showing modesty and admit that times are hard and offering clear policy measures that have been put in place to ameliorate the situation, he continues to engage in propaganda.”
