Only CPP can make the Ghanaian worker happy-Norgbedzi

Volta Regional Chairman of Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Saturday noted that as a “workers Party”, public servants and people in the private sector must vote massively for it in the general election.

Mr. Vincent Norgbedzi stressed: “CPP is the only political party that identifies with the Ghanaian worker, and that is why all public servants and people in the private sector must come out in their numbers to vote for the CPP to enjoy the fruit of their labour,” he said.

Mr. Norgbedzi was addressing students of Ho Polytechnic at the inauguration of the Ho Polytechnic Tertiary Students Chapter (TESCHART) of the CPP.

He said no political party in the history of Ghana demonstrated great concern about the welfare of workers like the CPP, and re-called how workers’ brigade under Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s Administration helped to resolve issues of unemployment.

Mr. Norgbedzi said in 1961 for instance, more than 60 new factories were opened towards making the Ghanaian worker comfortable.

He said CPP today was not happy about the plight of the Ghanaian worker and urged workers to “turn to the CPP” and vote for its Presidential Candidate, Dr Abu Sakara in the December polls, saying, “the joy of the Ghanaian worker is the pride of the CPP”.

Mr. Donkor Ayifri, a founding member of the Party chastised the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party for mismanaging the country’s economy, and said only the CPP could rescue the Ghanaian worker.

Mr. Kadri Abdul Rauf, National Youth Organiser of the CPP, said the Party has a better chance in the 2012 general election because the Biometric Voters Register would prevent double voting and other electoral fraud.

Mr. Mohammed Yabaaba, TESCHART National Coordinator, who inaugurated the new executives of Ho Polytechnic TESCHART urged the members to work hard to ensure that CPP won the December polls.**
