Akufo-Addo’s Lies
– Koku Anyidoho
News Desk Report
As Pastor Mensa Otabil continues to struggle, embarrassingly, to pull himself out of his strong stance against Nana Akufo-Addo’s FREE SHS hogwash, his voice has been described as a “Divine Intervention”.
“The voice of the respected Pastor, Mensa Otabil, is a divine intervention, Koku Anyidoho said in an interview with Kwadwo Asare-Baffuor Acheampong (KABA), on Asempa FM’s flagship Ekoo SiiSen programme on Tuesday, 30 October 2012.
According to the Head of Communications at the Presidency, no attempt by the opposition New patriotic Party (NPP) to downplay the position of the General Overseer of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), will wish away the strong opposition that fair-minded persons have, against Akufo-Addo’s empty promises.
Touching on the Press Release from the ICGC, wanting to water down Mensa Otabil’s strong stance against free SHS education, Mr. Anyidoho said that, of all the things contained in the Release, it did not deny the fact that the voice doing the rounds is the voice of Pastor Otabil.
Making the point that the NPP cannot wish away the position taken by Pastor Otabil, Koku Anyidoho said even if it is true that the recording was done “several years ago”, it does not take away the relevance of what the Overseer had said.
Mr. Anyidoho said, after all, the bible was written over 2,000 years ago, but the words of the bible are still relevant today.
“Mathew is still Mathew; Psalm is still Psalm; Proverbs is still Proverbs; Isaiah is still Isaiah; and sermons are being preached Sunday after Sunday, from the same bible, so if the words of the bible are still relevant today then the words of Pastor Otabil are also relevant”
In fact, Mr. Anyidoho was of the view that if, indeed, the recording was done “several years ago” and it is coming to the fore at this point in time, then it is the divine will of God.
According to the Head of Communications at the Presidency, God acts in “mysterious ways” and so must have brought the voice to the fore at this point in time, to fulfil his purpose for Ghana.
Quoting the scriptures, Koku Anyidoho said; “KABA; in Isaiah 55 vrs 8&9, it is said that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts. And as far as the heavens are from the earth, so are His thought and His ways far from ours”.
According to Koku Anyidooho, “out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks”, and so the respected Man of God, most certainly, spoke from the abundance of his heart.
Nana Akufo-Addo and his NPP are desperate to win power at all cost, and so are promising a Free SHS programme, which is unrealistic, and Pastor Mensa Otabil has opened the minds of his congregants to the fact that Akufo-Addo is a liar, who must not be trusted with the future of Ghana and Ghana’s youth.
Consensus is building against Otabil for issuing a statement that has only ended up putting him in a very tight corner as a dishonest preacher; he is not bold enough to stand by his words because it is working against the chances of his choice candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo.
