Vice President and flagbearer of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, says the creation of the Savannah Region by the Akufo-Addo government, has accelerated infrastructure and other forms of development in the area.
The Savannah Region was one of five newly created regions by the Akufo-Addo Government, and the region was carved out of the erstwhile Northern Region.
Addressing the Paramount Chief of Bole and his elders during his campaign visit to Bole on Sunday, Dr. Bawumia said the NPP has demonstrated a strong commitment to inclusive development, and the party's decision to create new regions, has impacted Savannah positively.
"We are in politics to help develop our communities and the country. It is significant to note that many of the developments you see in Bole and in the Savannah Region took place under the NPP. And given the chance, we will be able to do even more," Dr. Bawumia said.
"We have created the Savannah Region and the Savannah Region is seeing a lot of benefits . We are seeing a lot of projects, a lot of roads, a lot of hospitals - the agenda 111 hospitals in various areas. We are doing a lot in Savannah and we want to continue to do more."
"Here in Bole constitiency we have done a number of school blocks, market cemtres, chips compounds.'
"We are doing a lot but we have not yet finished. That is why we are requesting for your support so that we can continue and do more."
The Bolewura, while welcoming Dr. Mawumia, also appealed to him to look at other areas of concern to him and the Bole community. Things he mentioned included the Sawla road, Bole market as well as the Bole Central Mosque, which Dr. Bawumia agreed to renovate, while also assuring the Bolewura of seeing to the other concerns.
