As Ghana nears its presidential and parliamentary elections, the Ghana Culture Forum has called on citizens to uphold peace, unity, and respect for democratic values.
In a statement issued on Thursday, December 5, 2024, it stressed the need for a shared commitment to safeguarding the nation’s democratic legacy.

"Our nation’s history demands a collective commitment to credible elections. We urge all citizens to embrace the peace, unity, and mutual respect that define our country as a beacon of democracy," it noted.

The Forum also urged Ghanaians to resist any attempts to exploit cultural or ethnic differences for political gain, emphasising the importance of building a harmonious and inclusive society.

It further encouraged cultural practitioners to use their platforms to promote messages of peace and unity during this critical period.

"Your voices and talents are essential in shaping narratives that inspire peace," it noted.
