Over 200 residents of the Essikado Ketan constituency in the Western Region have benefited from a soap-making training program facilitated by Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, the National Democratic Congress’ Parliamentary Candidate for the area.
The 200 individuals, mostly women drawn from various communities, underwent a two-day workshop where they received instructive and transformational training in soap-making.
The initiative is part of Professor Dr. Ayensu-Danquah’s commitment to empowering the constituents, particularly through skill development and economic opportunities.
The workshop, which was largely successful and funded by Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, is indicative of her unwavering support in reducing unemployment in the area and enhancing the quality of life for the constituents.
Some participants who spoke to the media expressed profound gratitude to Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, describing her as a savior.
They commended her for charting a new path in politics by not handing out cash for votes but instead implementing a laudable initiative that will economically empower the people for the long term.
Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu-Danquah commended the women for availing themselves of the training and assured them of her continued support.
She noted that the development of the Essikado Ketan constituency is of utmost importance to her and that she will activate every opportunity to ensure the area's development.
She also assured them of her support after this workshop and the provision of some startups going forward through her existing Obatanpa loans.
Each participant received a Certificate of Participation from the Dr. Grace Skills Training Center.
In her closing remarks to the participants, Professor Dr. Grace Ayensu Danquah urged them not to rest on the knowledge they had acquired during the two-day workshop but to strive to enhance and better their lives and the community at large.
