PPP wishes all Ghanaians Merry Christmas

PPP WISHES GHANAIANS MERRY CHRISTMAS AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR

The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) wishes to convey its special greetings
to all Ghanaians as we mark the birth of Jesus Christ. The Christmas period
provides an opportunity for Christians to renew faith in the Lord and
Saviour Jesus Christ. Christmas also signals the end of one year and the
beginning of another.

This year’s festivities are significant because they come at the end of a
grueling political campaign and the conduct of the 2012 presidential and
parliamentary elections in Ghana. The PPP wishes to remind all Ghanaians to
reflect upon the challenges that confronted our electoral process and
accept the invitation to join us in our reform agenda to strengthen
national institutions such as the Electoral Commission.

The PPP urges all the political actors to exercise restraint and allow the
Rule of Law to prevail for the restoration of genuine confidence and
credibility in our electoral system.

The National Peace Council, Christian, Moslem leaders and others must join
together this season to uproot injustice, impunity and corruption as the
first step towards the achievement of real Prosperity in Peace.
We should begin 2013 with a heart to confess what we have done against our
neighbours and humanity in general. We should all resolve to treat all as
we want to be treated by our actions, speech and thought.
To PPP members, let us use this opportunity to let the sun continue to
shine. Let all Ghanaians demand progress, development and accountability
from our elected officials as we begin the New Year as an insurance against
incompetence, resource mismanagement, diseases, poverty and ignorance.

We are Awake!
