The Ghana Police Service has announced its comprehensive security arrangements across the country as preparations for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect John Dramani Mahama and Vice President-elect Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang draw near.
The much-anticipated event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Accra, with dignitaries, officials, and citizens expected to attend in large numbers.
In a statement issued on January 6, 2025, the police emphasised their commitment to ensuring a peaceful and orderly ceremony.
According to the statement, adequate security measures have been implemented in the capital city and other parts of the country to safeguard lives, property, and public safety.
