Policy Analyst to contest NDC primaries in Keta

Governance and Policy Analyst, Kofi Kukubor has announced plans to challenge the incumbent Member of Parliament for Keta Mr Richard Quashiga at the up-coming National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries.

The NDC has opened nominations for interested members to file to contest both the presidential and parliamentary primaries in November.

In a message announcing his intentions, Mr Kukubor said the decision was a call to serve the people and to bring development and progress to the impoverished communities within the Keta Constituency.

He said it was time to build and change peoples’ lives, adding that, “it is time for progress.”

Mr Kukubor said he had decided to take up the mantle as the political leadership in the constituency had failed to transform the lives of the people over the years.

This year’s primaries are of particular interest being the first time the NDC’s new policy of universal membership suffrage (UMS) will be used in electing aspiring Parliamentary candidates across the nation.
