In Dzodze, balloting for Presidential and Parliamentary elections got off to an orderly start in the Ketu-North constituency on Sunday.
Mr. Ebenezer Kwame Atieku, District Election officer told the GNA that adequate materials had been supplied to the 79 polling stations on time for voting to start at 0700 hours.
Fairly long queues were formed at six polling stations visited by the The Polling stations were at Fiagbedu, in Dzodze, Kuli-Dzogbesime, near dzodze and Awlikope also near Dzodze where the Volta Regional Minister, Mr Kofi Dzamesi, NPP parliamentary candidate voted. Party agents were represented at all the Polling Stations. Mr Geoffrey Barko, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in charge of the Dzodze Police District, said the security situation was under control. He said the few reported election related incidents that occurred a few days to the elections were being investigated.
