Possibilities Vs Reset: Here are key facts about NPP and NDC’s final rally for election 2024

As part of activities to climax the 2024 presidential and parliamentary election campaign, the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have announced their final rallies.

The events by the two leading parties will conclude their nationwide activities to canvass votes for the 2024 December 7 general elections.

Date

In a statement signed by the National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, the NPP's final rally will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024.

On the other hand, the NDC, in a statement issued by its National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, said it has also slated its final rally for the same Thursday.

Venue

The NPP announced that its final rally will be held in Accra at the University of Ghana Sports Directorate, opposite the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

The NDC, according to Sammy Gyamfi, will also host its final rally in the national capital at Zurak Park in Madina.

Time

The NDC has scheduled to commence its rally at 1:00 pm, while the NDC is set to commence their rally an hour earlier at 12:00 pm in the afternoon.

Theme

The NPP has dubbed its final rally “Possibilities Victory Rally: Time for Bold Solutions for Ghana’s Next Chapter,” while the NDC has set the theme for the final rally to be “Resetting Ghana—Let’s Finish Strong.”

Expected dignitaries

The NPP listed several party dignitaries, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, National Chairman Stepehn Ayesu Ntim, and General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua, as special guests for the event.

While the NDC failed to list its special guests, it is expected that the party’s flagbearer, Former President John Dramani Mahama, running mate Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, and General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey will grace the event.
