Power will elude NPP 2016 if…. - Anthony Karbo

For the longest; the fast-imploding opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been playing the ostrich and stayed drowned in self deceit.

However, unable to continue to play the ostrich as the Party rests ominously on the brink of total collapse, key members of the Party are beginning to run away from the self-deceit, and boldly confronting the truth in the open.

Adding his voice to key persons who are no longer prepared to live the life of the ostrich, Anthony Abayefa Karbo, has openly stated that the NPP is bound to stay in opposition and atrophy if the current vitriolic warfare is allowed to rage on unlocked.

The immediate past National Youth Organizer of the NPP is not the least enthused about the internal warring and his of the firm opinion that his Party is bound to stay in opposition forever if things continue to move from bad to worse.

Anthony Karbo made his deep-seated feelings known on Peace FM last Friday. Speaking on Peace FM’s Kokroko Morning Show, Abeyefa Karbo said, “power will elude NPP in 2016”.

According to Anthony Karbo, “power will not only elude the NPP, but also, the Party will remain in opposition for a very long time”.

Without mincing words, the very “militant” youth activist took a swipe at the elderly folk in the Party who are supporting and sponsoring all the “nonsense” going on within the Party.

In the opinion of Karbo, it is unfathomable that Party Elders such as Mr. Tedam and former President John Agyekum Kufuor are sitting idly by, and allowing the NPP to self-destruct.

According Anthony Karbo if the Elders sit and allow the NPP to remain in opposition nobody should expect the Youth to fight to keep the Party alive. “If we continue this way and remain in opposition after 2016 where will the energy come from to fight for the survival of the Party” Karbo stated rhetorically.

Without wishing doom upon the NPP, it is more than likely that the Party will continue to keep daggers in its heart as Akufo-Addo remains strongly glued to his inordinate desire to become President of Ghana ‘At All Cost”.
