The Volta Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Makafui Woanyah has charged patriots in his jurisdictions to propagate promises delivered by government.

This he believes would contribute to increasing the NPP’s voting pattern in the Volta Region, the stronghold of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“There is a need for us to segregate our campaigns. We just can’t go telling people to vote for NPP in 2020. They will vote on issues and relationships”, he told a gathering at the inauguration of the Ho Central Constituency Women’s Wing in the Volta Regional capital of Ho.

Mr Woanyah, therefore, admonished patriots to establish good relationships with others in society and capitalize on it to explain government’s intention to better the lives of Ghanaians.

“We need to start explaining to the people that the NPP is in to empower the individual to be self sustained. That is the hallmark of the NPP”, he said.

He indicated the initiative to establish the women’s wing is in line with the party’s aim to empower women to play their constitutionally mandated roles effectively towards achieving the NPP’s objectives.

“In our constitution, the women’s Wing is a special organ and I think all of us have to put our hands on deck to assist women to deliver on their mandate”.

Mr Woanya, therefore, implored the Women’s Wings to take advantage of the policies and programs being implemented by government to enhance their livelihoods and people around them.

“If your life is not affecting anybody, if your life is not a stepping stone, if your life has become a stumbling block in politics, then you are not going anywhere. There’s a need for us to influence people. If you cannot share what you have, then you are not into politics”, he said.
