President Mahama appoints Ruth Seddoh as acting Deputy Director of NYA

President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Ruth Dela Seddoh as the Acting Deputy Director of the National Youth Authority (NYA).

The appointment was announced in a letter signed by the Executive Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama. According to the letter, her appointment takes effect from January 22, 2025.

The appointment is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and the National Service Act, 2024 (Act 1119). It is subject to the constitutionally required advice of the governing board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

Ruth Dela Seddoh has expressed her gratitude to the President for the opportunity. In a Facebook post, she wrote:

"Dear President John Dramani Mahama, I am deeply honoured and sincerely grateful for the confidence you have shown in me by appointing me as the Acting Deputy Director-General for the National Service Authority. This opportunity to serve under your leadership and contribute to the development of our nation is truly humbling.

"I am committed to upholding the values and vision you have for the National Service Authority and will dedicate myself to delivering on the trust you have reposed in me. I will strive to work diligently to advance the goals of the Authority, ensuring its positive impact on the youth and the broader society.

"Thank you once again for this incredible opportunity. I look forward to serving with integrity and contributing meaningfully to your vision for Ghana."
