The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will not station any personnel at any polling station across the country, according to a statement from the military high command.
The security agency has, therefore, urged the public to report any military officer seen at any polling station during the December elections.
According to the statement, their role will be to provide backup for the Ghana Police Service and only come in when called upon.
Ghana goes to the polls on December 7, 2024, to choose a leader.
Special voting takes place today across the country. However, that of the Eastern and Western Regions will take place on December 5 after the EC recalled their ballot papers because they detected a leakage.
