Rousing welcome for Amissah-Arthur at Nkawkaw

The Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, this afternoon received a rousing welcome in the Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern region which happens to be the stronghold of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Addressing the crowd at the old Taxi station, the Vice President said the numbers that came to receive him showed they acknowledge the massive development that the NDC made in the area.

He called on the people of the area to vote massively for President Mahama to continue with his accelerated pace in development.

He also called for a peaceful election before and after the elections. Mr Amissah -Arthur called on the people of Kwawu to give John Mahama a one touch victory.

He said the objective of the NDC is to support the vulnerable and deprived to also climb the socio-economic ladder, so they should give him another chance for continuity in order to continue with the development of the area.

Mr Kwesi Amissah-Arthur said the NDC is a united and peaceful party and with unity and development the country would progress. He re-echoed the need to vote for Halidu the NDC candidate for a massive win.

He said that NDC government is focused on bridging the development gap between the urban and rural communities, adding that government is determined to do this in collaboration with the people by equally distributing the national resources even to the most remote parts of the country.

The Vice President admonished them to desist from voting skirt and blouse and vote as a united party.

He said that NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Nkawkaw constituency Tamimu Halidu when elected to Parliament would complement the efforts of President Mahama in December 2016.
