Sammy Awuku’s hope of being elected as the next National Organizer in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), is rapidly gathering momentum in the Ashanti Region, which is the stronghold of the party.
The party’s delegates in the region seem to have wholeheartedly embraced his message of “implementing pragmatic programmes and policies to help make the NPP an election-winning machine” in the country.
Sammy Awuku, who as the NPP National Youth Organizer, played vital roles to help the party win the 2016 elections, has stated that NPP staying in power for many years remains his utmost desire and agenda.
He made this known when his famous ‘Keeping Faith with the Grasroots Campaign’ train landed in the Ashanti Region on Sunday, where he is expected to stay for three days, campaigning in the 47 constituencies in the region.
On Sunday, he interacted with NPP delegates in areas such as Obuasi East/West, Akrofrom, Fomena, Adansi Asokwa, New Edubiase, Odotobri, Bekwai, Manso Adubia, Bosomtwe, Oforikrom, Asokwa, Nhyiaeso, Kwadaso and Bantama.
Sammy Awuku, who is a known grassroots man in the NPP, took his campaign train to Agona, Mampong, Ofinso, Affigya Kwabre and Mankranso on Monday.
Sammy Awuku stated that NPP is the best political party with the right caliber of people to properly steer the affairs of the country for real development.
“That is why I have stated continually that as the National Organizer of the NPP, I will make sure that the NPP will be turned into an election winning machine, which will win every presidential election to the benefit of Ghanaians”, he said.
Sammy Awuku indicated that he would work closely with all the party’s organizers and the grassroots members, who are very important, regarding the party’s electoral fortunes.
“I will strengthen the NPP’s organizational-structure, whereby the party’s organizers would become functional”, saying that he would also make sure that every party organizer feels comfortable and happy to faithfully serve the NPP to grow.
He promised to help improve the NPP by organizing a series of training programmes for party organizers to sharpen their expertise and capabilities to make them more efficient.
The aspirant, who is tipped to win the NPP National Organizer’s post, is expected to take his campaign tour in the Ashanti Region to Manhyia and other constituencies in Kumasi today.
