Some registered members of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Shai Osudoku constituency in the Gt. Accra region will today elect a parliamentary nominee following the death of Desmond William Ocloo.
Late Ocloo won the party’s primary in 2015 on the ticket of the NDC but met his untimely death in a gory car crash on the Accra-Kumasi highway in March.
Although the move by Linda Akweley Ocloo, widow of the late Parliamentary candidate has received widespread criticism, she insists that she’s motivated to go into the contest with the untimely death of her husband in the bid to make her husband who she claimed has toiled for the party happy wherever he is.
Today’s contest will be between the wife of the late nominee, Linda Ocloo and the Acting Executive Director of the National Service Secretariat, Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte.
