Speak like an elder, not a drunkard - Ofosu Ampofo told

National Chairman of the opposition NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo National Chairman of the opposition NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo

The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo has been advised to learn to speak like an elder not a drunkard who speaks under the influence of alcohol, MyNewsGh.com reports.

National President of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Apostle Alexander Danso who gave the advice, observed that the utterances of the NDC leader are not deserving of a person of his caliber indicating that it behooves on him to learn to speak like a matured person.

His admonition was in response to claims made by Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo that 15 students of an unnamed Senior High School have been impregnated as a result of the double track system.

“Tell him that when he speaks, he should learn to speak like an elder who has the nation at heart and wants development for the country. He goes to sit in a drinking spot and drinks a little and start saying things that will cause panic among parents”, he disclosed on Kumasi-based Otec Fm.

He wondered how such a thing could happen in one school while authorities of the particular school sit on unconcerned challenging him to name the school in which 15 pregnant girls have emerged.

“The double track system is not meant to breed pregnant girls. I am challenging him to name the particular school so that I can confront the PTA chairman of the school on why such huge numbers of girls are pregnant. It is the usual careless talk of NDC members who are already opposed to the system”, he added.

According to him, such comments have the potency of causing fear and panic among parents for which reason he should be measured by some of the things he says when given the opportunity to comment on national issues.
