The Tano North Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has condemned actions by pressure group in the NDC that sought to destroy the image of the District Chief Executive Hon. Hon. Apraku Lartey.
The executives addressing a press conference on Friday said they do not have any pressure group in the party and all the allegations those call pressure group are saying is not true, they are sabotage the DCEs in the district.
"We know what is going on in our party, and we know who is behind this, all we can say is, he is never going to succeed in bringing the party down as we will also do whatever in our Prowers to make sure the wellbeing of the people remains the number one priority and to champion the better Ghana Agenda our President and leader President Mahama has promised" he fumed.
The DCE Hon. Apraku Lartey was accused of woefully failing to provide developmental projects in the Tano North district which they believe violates the president's vision, while others alleged that the DCE should be sack.
The DCE also accused that since assuming office has brought no change in the district and fear it could be costly for the NDC in 2016.
The constituency chairman Mr. Yaw Boateng said it was important for detractors of the party to be guided by facts before engaging in vindictive acts, which could even cause the nation and advised the rank and file of the NDC to stay focused and help the party to succeed in achieving its "Better Ghana Agenda".
He added that the DCE is always at the residency all week and knows everything that goes on in the District.
Mr. Yaw Boateng said it is unfair for a group of people, who claimed they were Pressure group of the NDC to try to dent the image of both the DCE and the party by giving the "enemy" the tool to fight with in 2016 and called on them to desist from such acts and help the party to retain power.
According to Party Executives, DCE years' stay in office had seen infrastructure improvement and that for the first time in many years the district revenue exceeded over 100 per cent.
They mentioned the construction of classroom blocks, health centers, supply of furniture, and construction of Roads and bungalow, a lot of projects under the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund)as same as projects that had been executed.
"we call on President Mahama to retain DCE Hon. Apraku Lartey in office for him to continue the good work he is doing for the constituency as he is also helping to achieve "Better Ghana Agenda".
The Party Executives appealed to all to support the party and the DCE to facilitate development in the area so as not to derail the development agenda of the government.
