Techiman South constituency NDC elects new executives

Mr Philip Oppong Amponsah, Techiman Municipal Chief Executive, has commended activists and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Techiman South Constituency for the maturity in the election of their constituency executives.

He asked them to intensify their campaign to win the seat during Election 2016.

Mr Amposah made the commendation when 639 delegates four each from the 152 polling stations and 31 executives participated in the elections supervised by the Techiman Municipal Electoral Office.

Alhaji NashiruYussif polled 374 votes as against 248 by Mr Abdul Majeed to retain the Chairmanship position.

Mr Paul B. Gyasi was elected Vice chairman with 333 votes as against 295 by Mr Amoah Baffour, the incumbent Secretary Mr Boakye Ameyaw had 390 votes as against 295 votes by Mr Edward Fosu Nsoah, the incumbent Deputy Secretary Mr Owusu had 396 votes as against 237 votes by Mr Enoch Osei Asibey.

Mr James Osei Kwabena was elected Organizer when he polled 427 votes to defeat Mr Kofi Adu who had 199 votes, Mr Ibrahim Moro was elected Youth Organizer with 97 votes as against 47 votes by Mr Leo Mark-Essien.

Mr SulemanaMusah was elected Deputy Youth Organizer with 79 votes as against 67 votes by Mr Kwesi Atipo, Madam Grace Boakye, the incumbent Treasurer had 344 votes to beat Madam Georgina Poku who had 274 votes, Madam Regina Wasia, incumbent Deputy Treasurer polled 427 votes as against 205 votes by Madam Mary Amoah.

Hajia Maire was elected Women’s Organizer with 113 votes as against 37 votes by Madam Mazila Sulemana, Madam Margaret Edegbe Dede was elected Deputy Women’s Organizer with 76 votes as against 74 votes by Madam Janet Henewaa.

Mr Ali Mohammed Issah, polled 404 votes to become the Propaganda Secretary as against 225 votes by Mr Gibree Kesse Labib, Mr BarimaSumaila was elected Deputy Propaganda Secretary with 406 votes as against 217 votes by Mr Adam Ati-Bakr Gibreel.

Eight executive members were also elected.

Mr Agyei Mensah, Techiman South Constituency Member of Parliament asked all and sundry to bury their differences and unite for victory in 2016.

He urged them to use decent language and canvass for more people to join the party.
