Tension is brewing within the Greater Accra Regional Executives of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the Regional Organiser, Anthony Nukpenu, clashes with the Regional Chairman, Ashie Moore, over a confiscated Toyota Land Cruiser V8.

According to Nukpenu, the Regional Chairman has written a letter to disgrace him after he (Nukpenu) seized the vehicle, which he believes was auctioned at an unreasonably low price to a former Deputy Clerk of Parliament, who bought the car for GH₵13,000.

In an interview with Mugabe Maase on TV XYZ, Anthony Nukpenu warned Ashie Moore never to cross his path, accusing the regional chairman of being involved in a devious plot.

"This is a crime that some people are committing against the state. If I am able to collect this car, Ashie Moore has written a letter to disgrace me. Whatever he received to carry out this plot, he will see how I will deal with him. The men he exposed to the police administration are the ones who went and seized the car."

He continued, "Yesterday, this guy [regional chairman] was at Parliament House telling members of parliament that I have seized a car belonging to a retired deputy clerk of parliament and that I am bargaining over what to take from him. He [Ashie Moore] should try it again. He should respect himself. If you don't have facts... If Parliament feels they no longer have use for these cars, they should allocate them to district assemblies for work purposes."
