Dr Abu Sakara, Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) on Tuesday 22nd May visited Agbogloshie Market and the residents of Old Fadama (Sodom and Gomorrah), to ascertain at first hand the extent of damage following the recent fire in the area.
Many residents had lost their homes and belongings in the fire and Dr Sakara was moved to visit them personally.
The Moshie Chief Naa Issaka Samson walked the CPP Flagbearer around the market and praised Dr Sakara for being the first high profile politician to visit the market since the fire outbreak.
The CPP Presidential Candidate spent time interacting with affected residents and discussed their concerns.
He asked for a proper housing policy for the country stressing that “The poor and the vulnerable are left behind in the failure to address the country’s housing and infrastructure deficit”
He donated mosquito nets to numerous residents who all thanked and wished him well in his campaign to make Ghana work again.
