The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Joshua Akamba has expressed dissatisfaction at how the Ghana Police Service treated the leadership of the party when they escorted its chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to the premises.
According to him, the police service made the leadership of the party and members wait for hours before attending to them.
“It looks as if NDC [members] are not Ghanaians, we got here around 8:30, they told us, ‘give us 5mins, 10mins’; they gave us 5hours and we waited and kept waiting” he said.
Like several party executives, Akamba reiterated that the tape was doctored.
“What we are saying is that the tape was doctored and cannot be the Chairman’s voice, we will call Tiwa Addo Darkwa and Obiri Boahen as our witnesses when we go to court, and they are masters of doctored tapes” he said
BACKGROUND
Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was at the CID head office on Monday after he was invited following a leaked audio in which he allegedly made some comments bordering on the security of some persons and the country ahead of the 2020 general elections.
