Together our Dreams can be won – Hon. Ologo

A staunch member of the ruling National Democratic Congress Hon. Michael Ologo has reminded Ghanaians that together our dreams could be won.

The Yilo Krobo National Democratic Congress (NDC) 2016 Parliamentary hopeful made the call on RITE FM 90.1 “time with the CEO” with host Owreku Asamoah on Monday in somanya as the community gets ready to welcome an International cassava processing factory to start operations in somanya.

According to Hon. Ologo symbiotic relationship is key to job creation in every economy. “As much as we expect government to create jobs the onus is on us as youth and citizens of Ghana to position ourselves strategically to enable us grab any opportunity that comes our way”.

Hon. Ologo stressed however that,” the successful entrepreneur is the one that went out and made things happened but not the one that sits and rather waiting for something to fall on his lap, 2014 will see international companies setting up factories in our District capitals to create jobs and change the livelihood of the people at the grassroots, so let’s get involve”.

The Chief Executive Officer of Timax Group (Hon. Ologo) cautioned the youth to prepare their minds and sway from the “Tie, white shirt job mentality”.

It can be recalled that in the late 90s it took one international fruit processing company a long time just to convince krobos to get into commercial mango production for export. Many were those who laughed and made fun of the representatives of the said company, but a decade later Yilo krobo is the nation’s number one producer of mango in commercial quantities for export.

The Prince from the Royal Ologo family appealed to the Chiefs, Heads of family’s, and the Municipal Assembly to release lands to the youth for the cassava production project to enable the community meet the demand of the factory.
