Twifu Hemang Lower Denkyira District Dirty Politics

A village in the Twifu Hemang Lower Denkyira District by name Twifu Nyenasi is becoming a haven of confusion as a result of political affiliations. It is becoming so alarming that, even to have your cocoa farm to be sprayed by the mass cocoa spraying team is based on your affiliation to a political party. Recently a confusion sparked off between the two factions(NDC AND NPP) over a jersey that was given to the town by the joint effort of the Member Of Parliament(MP) for the constituency and the District Chief Executive(DCE).

A section of the NDC supporters were argueing that, the jerseys were given to the town by the MP who happened to have gone to parliament through their mandate and the other faction also claimed that, the jerseys were given to the town by the DCE who is also representing the NPP government in the District. Responsibilities based on communal labour in the village has taken a diversified dimention in terms of political affiliation. With regards to employment into the National Youth Emplyment division your guess would be as good as mine as it is also based on your affiliation to a certain known political party. Even getting access to a government loan is subject to one's political affiliation. All this factors is impeding the smooth progress of social activities in the village.

When you want to enjoy some privileges, that would mean kotowing to the executives of the party in which you are not a member. People in the town have now been turned into 'POLITICAL DOGS' just for the sake of enjoying certain privileges.

I think this divisive politics that is being practised in the village is ripping most of the inhabitants of the rights and privileges that the constitution bestows on them.

I would like to take this opportunity to draw the attention or appeal to those in the helm of affairs in the village and district to find an amicable solution to the impasse existing between this two parties as it is tearing the social order of the town apart.
