Two Twifo-Praso groups support DCE's appointment

Twifo-Praso (C/R), July 25, GNA- Two groups in Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District have expressed satisfaction about the nomination of Mr Samuel Y. Agyeibi-Kessie as the Twifo-Hemang-Lower-Denkyira District Chief Executive (DCE) by the President and his subsequent confirmation by the assembly. In separate letters, copied to the GNA, the Twifo-Praso Secondary School Old Students' Association and the Twifo Youth Association congratulated the DCE and gave the assurance that they would support the assembly to develop the district.

The message of the Tema branch of the old students' association was contained in letter signed by Mr Faris Elias Attrickie, the acting president.

It said: "The association had learnt with profound delight of your appointment by the President as the DCE for the area and the subsequent overwhelming confirmation of the appointment by the district assembly". The letter also indicated that: "We wish therefore, to assure you of our unwavering support, co-operation and prayers, as you take the political driving seat of the district".

The old students were convinced that Mr Agyeibi-Kessie was capable of managing the district, being an old student of the school. They, however, advised him to adopt a non-partisan approach in the exercise of his duty, stressing that, "you must exercise a lot of prudence in your dealings with the people of Twifo, bearing in mind that, you have been called to serve the people".

They also advised the DCE to be guided by the principles of integrity, fairness, accountability, justice and compassion. The youth association in their letter signed by Mr Isaac Adjei Edwin, said, "It is our fervent hope and prayer that your tenure of office as the DCE would witness significant improvement in the development of the district.
