UFP sacks 'incompetent' flagbearer

The National Executive Committee of the United Front Party has sacked its presidential candidate ahead of the December polls, Akwasi Addae popularly known as Odike.

According to the National Chairman of the party, Nana Agyenim Boateng, the Flagbearer was dismissed because of his incompetence. He said the flagbearer is an arm-chair and does deserve to lead the party to victory in upcoming elections.

According to the party, Akwasi Addae is an ineffective flagbearer and has done little to project the image of the opposition party.

Odike, who is a popular footwear dealer in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, was elected unopposed as the presidential candidate for the party last December.

National chairman of the UFP, Nana Agyenim Boateng, in an interview with XYZ News stated that the party met and decided to unanimously sack the flagbearer.

He added Odike has failed to turn up for meetings on several occasion s which was plan strategies to move the party forward.

Meanwhile, the National Treasurer of the UFP Alhaji Usmanu Inusah disputes the dismissal of the Parties Flagbearer. He says Odike is rather trust worthy and the decision by the chairman is against the constitution of the party.
