The Office of John Dramani Mahama, the President-Elect, has refuted claims made by some Ghanaians regarding the appointment and nomination of individuals in the upcoming Mahama administration.

In a press release dated Monday, December 16, 2024, and sighted by GhanaWeb, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the Special Aide to the President-Elect, clarified that the purported list of nominations and appointments circulating in the public domain, allegedly made by John Dramani Mahama, is unauthorised.

According to her, the claims are false, calling on Ghanaians to disregard them.

Stressing the importance of relying on official communications from the President-Elect’s office, Bawah Mogtari urged the public to always verify information from certified channels circulating on social media.

The statement comes in response to a purported list of Mahama’s appointments and nominations of individuals for various positions, ranging from ministries to other state institutions.

“The Office of the President-Elect wishes to categorically state that lists circulating on social media purported to be appointments and nominations made by HE John Dramani Mahama are false and unauthorised. We urge all to refrain from spreading unverified information and to rely on official communications from our office,” the communique clarified.
