He said callers included Moslem leaders, traditional authorities, clergy, media practitioners, professionals, just to mention but few.
Mr Gunu told journalists in Ho that the former president is scheduled to visit the Region from January 28th to February 2nd to solicit votes from delegates in the constituencies to lead the party in the February 23 presidential primary and ultimately lead the NDC to recapture power in the 2020 general elections.
The Regional Secretary said Mr Mahama will also take the opportunity to pay courtesy calls on traditional authorities and interact with Moslem leaders and the clergy.
The Regional Secretary also disclosed that the party has inaugurated a seven-member committee to supervise the primary to be conducted by the Electoral Commission.
According to Mr Gunu, the electoral committee was an ad-hoc one.

He said the committee is chaired by Mr Henry Ametefe, Regional Vice Chairman and Former Regional Organizer.
Other members are Pascal Agbagba, Regional Director of Elections, Mary Agbenyenu, Former DCE for Central Tongu, Edem Gidisu, Krachi East Constituency Secretary, Bernice Adiku Hello, MP for Hohoe, Manfred Nuku Dei, Former Member of the Regional Elections Committee, Joyce Yaa Osei, Former Deputy Regional Women Organizer and all constituency directors of elections.
