Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has appealed to Ghanaians to vote against the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the pending elections.
He explained that the Akufo-Addo-led government has mismanaged the country's economy, leaving Ghanaians in financial distress.
According to a report by citinewsroom.com, he made these remarks during a campaign tour of the Savannah Region.
John Dramani Mahama further accused the NPP of failing to accept responsibility for the economic challenges the country was currently facing, despite the obvious signs of mismanagement and decline in key sectors of the economy.
He noted that the depreciation of the cedi was enough reason for Ghanaians to vote out the NPP.
“This is the government that does not accept its fault. Despite all that has happened in this country, they don’t accept that they have created hardship. They don’t accept that they have mismanaged the economy. They still go and sit on the radio and say, we are the better managers of the economy.
“Better managers of the economy, you took the dollar from GH¢4 to $1 to GH¢17 to $1 and you say you are better managers of the economy. You took cement from GH¢24 per bag to GH¢110 per bag and you say you are better managers of the economy," he noted.
