The 2016 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Wednesday, stormed the Korle Klottey constituency and told the people to vote massively for the party’s parliamentary candidate, Philip Addison.
Nana Addo who was visiting the constituency a second time said he personally trained Philip Addison and was confident that he would execute a good job in Parliament when given the nod to serve the constituents.
Kasapa FM’s reporter, Kwaku Opare, who has been following the campaign tour of the NPP leader said Nana Addo sounded more convincing when he told the people that the NPP have always supported a candidate who emerges victorious in an election whenever a seat becomes vacant in the party.
Nana Addo, according to our reporter visited three polling stations in the Korle Klottey constituency including Osu where he also interacted with traders at the Osu market.
The chances of Philip Addison in winning the Korle Klottey constituency seat for the NPP appears to be slim because of the emergence of Nii Noi Nortey as an independent candidate.
Nii Noi Nortey was the former NPP Chairman for the Korle Klottey constituency who contested the party’s parliamentary primary but lost to Mr. Addison.
