Voters' registration at a centre in Weija at a stand still

Machine for biometric voters’ registration at the New Covenant School Polling Centre in Weija, has broken down.

Mr Prince Emmanuel Obiri, Polling Agent, who said this to the Ghana News Agency on Friday, added that some residents of the area expressed worry and frustration at the exercise.

Mr Obiri said the machine brook down on Wednesday, April 18th when registration officers were about to print out records, and the situation had been reported to the Electoral Commission.

GNA observed that, in spite of the breakdown, most of the registration officers were at post.

Meanwhile statistics made available to GNA indicates that, Tuba Junction Polling Station had registered 1,234 people, Tuba 1,599 persons and Sky Grace School about 630 people.**
