At Dakpema Primary School Polling Station out of the 785 registered voters, 430 had voted as at 1527 hours GMT. However, at the S.D.A Primary School Polling Station across the road, 289 out of the 621 eligible voters had cast their vote by 1530 hours.

At the Victory Cinema "A" polling Station in the centre of the Metropolis out of a voter population of 893, 517 had cast their votes as at 1403 hours, while at Victory Cinema "B", 363 eligible voters out of 539 registered voters had also cast their votes.

Some of the voters when questioned by the GNA why they came out at that time to vote, they said because of the water situation in town they went in the morning in search of water.
