The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is well-known for his openness and receptiveness to the Christian community through his regular interactions with them.

On September 22, 2024, during his campaign tour of the Central Region, Dr. Bawumia visited and interacted with several churches as he toured some constituencies in the area.

At Asikuma Catholic Church, where Dr. Bawumia briefly stopped over, he was captured in a viral video dancing beautifully with Catholic nuns.

Cheered on by the excited congregation, the nuns gathered in front of Dr. Bawumia as they danced to songs by the church's choir.

In appreciation of their warm gesture, Dr. Bawumia reciprocated by dancing back and cheerfully hugging the nuns one after the other. This display of camaraderie has earned him lots of praise on social media.
