Mr. Theophilus Dei, the then Tema East 1st Vice Chairman and me, Richster Nii Amarh Amarfio, the Parliamentary candidate all of the Convention Peoples’ party having both resigned from the party officially on December 12, 2012 and remained largely non-partisan have now officially applied and joined the National Democratic Congress.
It is worthy of note that our decision to join the NDC is not externally induced and not as a result of any disagreement with any person or group of people in the CPP. We largely identify with a constituency made of fishers whose activities and interest is skewed towards the NDC and having led in many demand programmes, they continually believe we will better serve their interest in the NDC.
They have therefore on many occasions sent delegation and have demanded that we completely identify with them, a demand becoming co incessant and difficult to turn down, especially after the 2012 elections.
Much as we respect the good people we worked with in the CPP, we believe our political future will be better serve in the NDC and so we have joined the Tema East Constituency of the Party at the Oshanaa branch with our respective membership numbers, 36 and 35.
We hope to work in the best interest of Ghana and the people of Tema though a selfless and devoted service from the NDC. Thank you,
Yours faithfully
