The National Secretariat of the Convention People's Party (CPP) has refuted media reports about the party's alleged decision not to present candidates for the upcoming 2024 general elections in December.
In a statement released and signed by the Chairman of the party’s Independent Committee, Wng. Cdr (Rtd.) P.N. Sorgbodjor, the party strongly denied the baseless claims being spread in the media.
The statement clarified that the party is currently finalizing its organizational program for selecting candidates to participate and compete in the upcoming December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
"The Independent Committee of the CPP wishes to dispel this misinformation. The Party is currently finalizing its organizational program for selecting candidates to compete in the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections," part of the statement read.
The party assures the public that it will provide a detailed program soon.
