The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, John Boadu has said that the party’s rank and file would respond to claims made by Member of Parliament for Assin North, Honorable Kennedy Agyepong in due time.

He indicated that the silence of the party did not mean that measures were not being taken to resolve the impasse between the parliamentarian and the issues he had with the party.

Mr. John Boadu, Speaking on Accra-based Okay FM indicated that the outspoken MP may be going against the party’s constitution and also discrediting the NPP administration in general therefore the need for some closed door meeting to resolve any grievances.

The General Secretary, however, called for tempers to be cool and aggrieved parties within the party to patiently wait till all concerns are addressed at an appointed date Not long ago, the Assin North MP was claiming that he knew how the NPP won the December 2016 elections and was going to release explosive details if some party members continued to disregard and discredit him.

He added that the elections in 2016 was not won by the New Patriotic Party on fair grounds. He also threatened to disgrace the party and go down with the party if care was not taken.

He then warned anyone who wanted to say anything about him to back down before the worse happens.

According to the Member of Parliament, some persons planning his downfall consistently asked him to shut up before he could be awarded any contract in the Nana Akufo-Addo administration but the maverick MP has vowed not to bend to their whims and caprices.

He has again come out to request from the party all the money he invested into the party to get the party into power.
