Nana Akomea has appealed to religious leaders, particularly prophets, in the country to be circumspect in their ways.

Commenting on the recent prophecies, where some are in favor of Ex-President John Dramani Mahama and others favor Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Nana Akomea wondered how the same God could be divided between which of these two candidates will win the impending December 7 elections.

It could be recalled that during a clergy meeting with John Mahama, the opposition NDC flagbearer, renowned Prophet and Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah claimed, “God has given back the nation to him (Mahama)” because of what he said to be Mahama’s “good heart.”

But his prophecy did not sit well with some people, especially supporters of the ruling New Patriotic Party, who played back Owusu-Bempah’s words from the past where he claimed God had rejected Mahama outright. He stated that even if the NDC chose to bring him back as their flagbearer “1000 times, he will lose 1000 times.” This he said retrospectively in an interview on Good Evening Ghana with Paul Adom-Otchere.

The Deputy Chairman of Bawumia’s campaign team, Nana Akomea, speaking on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” show, advised Apostle Owusu Bempah and others to watch their prophecies.

He noted that the way they are behaving is paving the way for people to disrespect them.

He wondered what has changed that today the same prophet who claimed Mahama could never ascend to the presidential throne says something different.

He advised them to “be patient” and “focus on the peace of the elections.”
