Allotey Jacobs, the former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has drawn similarities between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s manifesto and that of USA Vice President Kamala Harris.

The two vice presidents, each representing their respective parties, are contesting to be president of their countries.

During a panel discussion on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, Allotey Jacobs said that Dr. Bawumia’s policies outlined in his manifesto closely resemble the policies of Kamala Harris.

“There is a similarity between Dr Bawumia’s manifesto and that of Kamala Harris. I don’t know how it came about. If you watch or listen to CNN, you will realise that the policies of Bawumia are the same as Kamala Harris and the two of them are all vice presidents.

“You can’t say they were communicating with each other about their manifesto plans,” he said.

Allotey Jacobs also indicated that he would prefer Dr. Bawumia’s manifesto over John Dramani Mahama’s due to its focus on jobs creation and economic recovery.

“Between the two manifestoes, I will choose Bawumia on the issue of providing jobs and rebounding the economy. We will all agree that the economy is hard,” he added.

Based on his predictions for the 2024 elections, Allotey Jacobs said that both Dr. Bawumia and Kamala Harris will win their respective elections.

“My prediction again and I say there are two vice presidents, Kamala Harris is winning the American elections and the same thing will apply to Ghana,” he added.
