Wontumi has planted troublesome gents in NDC

The cruise ship of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is rocking and rolling in a bad storm in the Ashanti Region.

A movement comprising spiritual leaders affiliated to the party, have come out to identify the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, as the brain behind their agitation.

The head of the group, Timothy Wiafe, informed Peacefmonline.com in a phone interview that Mr. Antwi-Boasiako popularly known as Chairman ‘Wontumi’, has managed to infiltrate the NDC’s camp with his agents and is on a mission to destroy them.

“The NDC aims to get one million votes from the Ashanti Region, but out of the blue, Wontumi has managed to influence our people to fight our own executives. Do you think a house divided can stand? Currently, the party executives in the Ashanti Region are not united and this can destroy our operation one million votes”, he said.

Timothy Wiafe described the Ashanti Regional Chairman as a thorn in the NDC’s flesh and warned the party executives not to underestimate his influence on NDC foot-soldiers.

“Wontumi is tactful. He is young, rich and experienced. He has planted troublesome agents in the NDC to destroy the party. He constantly gives them support in the form of cash and most of them do what he commands them to do” Mr. Wiafe revealed.

Aside this, Ben Abdullah, the leader of the Bashaka Movement, has claimed that President Mahama would have a mountain to climb if he wants to win the 2016 presidential election.

For reasons yet to be known, President Mahama fired the Ashanti Regional Chairman and his deputy through a statement which was issued by the Communication Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.

As a way of registering their displeasure, some aggrieved members of the party took the laws into their own hands and locked up the party’s regional office.

When United Television got to the scene, we managed to speak to the leader of the group responsible for the act. Ben Abdullah tells us that there are serious problems within the NDC in the region as at now and it has created serious challenges for them to deal with.
