You can't use the law anyhow - CPP member cautions executives

A leading member of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Kofi Appah Afram, has cautioned authorities of the party to shun misusing the constitution, in relation to the suspension of the party’s General Secretary and Youth Organizer. This caution was made on Maakye.

“You cannot use the law anyhow…there was an alleged corruption issue in government… the CPP organizer and the General Secretary put it before CHRAJ to look into the issue. That was not a bad idea… then it came out that the two persons did not speak as party executives…the people who pushed for the suspension of the two did not present any document to prove their charges… what law permits you to suspend someone and present the charges later?’ he enquired.

He added that the suspension of the two ‘former’ party officials was becoming a punishment since it has been over a month now that the CPP suspended the two. He debunked any claims that there was a brawl at the party’s head office yesterday over the same issue, adding that it was just a heated argument that ensued when Ernesto Yeboah and Nii Armah, the suspended party executives, were refused entry into the party’s head office.
