The Chiefs and people of Keta, in the Volta Region, have applauded Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for excelling in his role as Vice President of Ghana.
The NPP Flagbearer, who is on a nationwide campaign tour to be elected President, visited Keta Constituency on Thursday as part of his tour of the Volta Region.
At a stakeholder engagement with traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, Dr. Bawumia received commendations from traditional rulers in the area for his impactful service as Vice President.
"We know what you have done and continue to do," said Togbui Acolatse V, the Dufia of Kedji, who spoke on behalf of the Chiefs.
"We know a lot of things that you have initiated that have touched the lives of everybody, and Keta is no exception. Each and every one of us, including the Chiefs, are beneficiaries of some of your innovative ideas," he added.
"I think you have acquitted yourself as Vice President," the Chiefs noted.
The Chiefs also commended the NPP government for development projects in the area, as well as the Free SHS policy, which they noted has been impactful.
"Your government has been development-oriented, and the footprints of its development are everywhere to see, even here in Keta, and particularly Kedji."
