The chairman of the Council of Elders C.K Tedam has thrown its support behind Mr. Fred Amankwah–Sarfo, the New Patriotic Party National Chairman Aspirant the for the party’s topmost post.

Emboldened by NPP’s C.K Tedam support for his Chairmanship bid, Mr. Amankwaa Sarfo in his humble mind says, he has the qualities of a great leader.

To him “A leader serves as an example of integrity and loyalty to the people they represent, both to the public and to other political leaders. Great leaders have good communication and inter-personal skills. They can work with a range of other people, regardless of political opinion, to achieve the greatest good for the general population. Someone who can resist the various temptations and lures of the political arena. Someone of strong character, with both conscience and charisma, willing to listen to the needs of the people and to represent them faithfully. Someone with the courage to stand up and say what needs to be said rather than just tell the general public what it wants to hear. Someone who is willing to make difficult and possibly unpopular decisions for the greater good”.

Mr. Amankwaa Sarfo, who is said to be basking in glory, believes with blessing from the chairman of the Council of Elders C.K Tedam, he will unify the party and make sure the New Patriotic Party hold on to power for the development of Ghana.

Elder C.K Tedam made this observation when the NPP National Chairman Aspirant paid a courtesy call on him in the Northern region as part of his intention to contest and win the National Chairman position of the NPP.

The NPP goes to Congress in 2018 to elect leaders for the various National Executive positions to run the affairs of the party from 2018 to 2022.

His call was to seek the good counsel and the rich political and leadership qualities of one of the most successful personalities in the Danquah-Busia-Dombo Tradition (DBDT)
