The Paramount Chief of Upper Dixcove in the Western Region has praised the vice-presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, for effectively implementing the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, which has made senior high school education free for all students in public schools across the country.

Obrempong Hima Dekyi XIV stated that the ability of the vice-presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to effectively implement the free SHS policy lifted the financial burden that parents, guardians, and traditional leaders like him used to face.

For this singular act, the chief assured Dr. Opoku Prempeh that he and his people were in support of his candidature.

He added that he believes in the capacity of Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh to give the NPP presidential candidate much-needed support.

“At first, we used to receive numerous requests from people seeking support for their wards, but now because of this huge relief, we are no more burdened. I believe you have what it takes to support Dr. Bawumia, and so we are solidly behind you as Ahantaman,” the Paramount Chief noted.
