The Paramount Chief of Kpando, Togbe Dagadu IX, has acknowledged the mammoth reception the people of Kpando accorded Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during his visit on Sunday.
Dr. Bawumia, as part of the opening day of his tour of the Volta Region, visited Kpando, where many defied a heavy downpour to give him a grand welcome.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to the town, Togbe Dagadu IX on behalf of the chiefs and people of Kpando, expressed delight at his visit, as well as their confidence in his leadership.
Togbe Dagadu IX also assured Dr. Bawumia that he should feel at home because many people in the area support him.
"We, the chiefs and people of Kpando, have high hopes in your leadership. And should Ghanaians and the Almighty God give you the steering wheel of leadership, you should consider the good people of Kpando for positions in your government."
"Kpando is your home," Togbe Dagadu IX said.
"There are a number of people here in Kpando who support you, and your presence here has painted the town blue, white, and red," said the Paramount Chief, expressing confidence in Bawumia's leadership.
"We, the chiefs and people of Kpando, have high hopes in your leadership," Togbe Dagadu IX reiterated, adding that the community looks forward to cooperating with Dr. Bawumia as President, should Ghanaians and the Almighty God "smile at you and deliver the steering wheel of Ghana into your hands."
"I believe there are good tidings. We are ready to work with you anytime, any day."
Togbe Dagadu IXalso commended the NPP government for its numerous development projects, both nationally and in the Kpando area.
