The atmosphere at the Rev. Obli Foundation Centre overflowed with jubilant laughter as members of the "Myhelp-Yourhelp Foundation" visited their orphanage.
This delightful spectacle unfolded as the Christian Non-Profit Organization extended its compassionate embrace to the children and caregivers of the centre.
Driven by the essence of Easter, a season synonymous with love and generosity, the foundation orchestrated a day of profound significance for the Childcare Centre.
From delightful feasts to spirited Christian activities such as face painting, Bible quizzes, poetry recitals, musical chairs, and dancing contests, every instant was steeped in warmth and goodwill.
The sheer delight emanating from the children reflected the deep-seated joy one experiences when contemplating the true essence of Easter – a time to honor the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ, who selflessly gave Himself for humanity centuries ago. In this spirit of altruism and empathy, the foundation's gesture resonated profoundly, echoing the eternal message of love and hope.
Preceding the visit to the orphanage, meticulous research identified various necessities, including stationery, clothing, food items, and building materials crucial for the completion of their three-story classroom block currently under construction.

In an interview, Mrs. Priscilla Yeboah, a fresh addition to the Myhelp-Yourhelp Foundation, shared her deep empathy for the plight of these talented children, who unfortunately lack the care of their biological parents. Acknowledging the indispensable role of love and affection in nurturing them, she made a heartfelt plea to compassionate individuals and organizations to join hands in supporting the foundation's mission.
Stressing the importance of widespread backing, Mrs. Yeboah highlighted the potential for the foundation to positively impact countless more vulnerable children nationwide.
Rev. Obli Foundation Centre
The Rev. Obli Foundation Centre is an orphanage nestled in the heart of Nsamam. Since its inception in September 2015, this organization has been a beacon of hope for children who have tragically lost their parents.
With humble beginnings, the Rev. Obli Foundation opened its doors to three children who found themselves orphaned due to a devastating accident. Over the years, this compassionate haven has grown to accommodate 24 children, ranging from tender tots to blossoming teenagers, all of whom have found solace under its caring roof.
What sets the Rev. Obli Foundation apart is its commitment to providing more than just shelter. Embracing a familial model of care, the foundation has lovingly established two homes, each blessed with surrogate parents, housing a mother and a father figure who lovingly nurture and care for the children as if they were their own and providing unwavering support and affection, mirroring the love of a biological family.
In an interview with Mrs. Felicia Obli, wife of the founder, Rev. David S. Obli, the orphanage plans to make the lives of these children more comfortable, assist them in developing their talents, and fulfill their vision of a brighter future.
She emphasized that will depend on support from generous individuals, philanthropists, corporate organizations, churches, compassionate donors, government agencies and NPOs like Myhelp-Yourhelp Foundation to support with food, clothing, furniture and building materials etc.
She earnestly appealed for scholarships to ensure these children can pursue their education to the highest attainable degree. Specifically, the following are urgent needs of the orphanage, according to Mrs Felicia Obi:
● Stationery (notebooks, pens, pencils, exercise books, etc.)
● School fees to ensure continued access to education.
● Toiletries for personal hygiene and well-being
● Provisions and necessities for daily living
● Foodstuff (beans, rice, gari, palm oil, cooking oil, tomato paste, canned fish, etc.)
● Building materials to aid in the completion of the school construction project.
Despite the absence of an on-site school, the foundation remains resolute in its commitment to fostering a sense of belonging and security in every child, ensuring their flourishing in an environment abundant with love and guidance.
Presently, the children attend school off-site. Nonetheless, efforts are underway to finalize a three-story classroom complex, poised to become a symbol of learning and empowerment for its cherished children, thus guaranteeing access to quality education within their nurturing surroundings.
Propelled by a dedication to self-sustainability, the orphanage engages in animal husbandry and agricultural production, serving as their primary source of funding.
In interviews with select children, namely Piba, Gameli Flovi, and Roland, their heartfelt gratitude was unmistakable, especially for the timely donations of stationery and food items.
Concluding his remarks, Mr. Nicholas Cofie, representing the foundation's leadership, expressed profound appreciation to the team for their unwavering commitment to extending compassion to the underprivileged and marginalized members of society. He commended their selfless dedication of both time and financial resources, along with the invaluable support of those who earnestly prayed for the program's success.
Acknowledging the challenges encountered in executing projects due to limited funding, Mr. Cofie found solace in the enduring wisdom of Hudson Taylor, stressing that "God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply." He extended gratitude to sponsors and all who generously supported the mission through monetary contributions or in-kind donations.
