As part of its commitment to corporate social responsibility and the well-being of the Ghanaian community, the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) donated essential medical equipment to the Neurosurgical Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

This initiative was aimed at addressing the critical need for medical resources in the unit to ensure enhanced patient care and treatment.

The Neurosurgical Unit at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital plays a vital role in providing specialized care to patients with neurological disorders, and the donation of essential equipment will greatly contribute to their ability to deliver high-quality treatment.
Equipment donated includes:

1. Five Suction Machines
2. One Emergency Trolley
3. Four Handheld Pulse Oximeters
4. Six Omron Blood Pressure Apparatuses
5. Two Comen Antithrombotic Pressure Pumps with Re-usable Garments

Speaking on this initiative, Mr. Frank Berle, the Deputy Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, acknowledged the important role of the Neurosurgical Unit in healthcare and expressed optimism that this donation will have a positive impact on patient care delivery and the efficiency of the department.

He hoped that this act of support from the GSE would inspire other corporate entities in Ghana to similarly aid the healthcare sector.
